Welcome

Thank you for visiting historic Hedges Chapel online.  Our website highlights worship, fellowship, and service opportunities as well as ways that Chapel facilities can be used by community members.  We hope you will visit us in person now that the chapel is open for services once again.  We await the opportunity to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

The mission of Hedges Chapel, an interdenominational congregation called together by God's love in Jesus Christ, is to share God's message through worship and study, to nurture one another in prayer and fellowship, and to minister to community needs through service and outreach.

Services

Our Sunday Morning services are at 11:00 a.m.

Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month.

Any special services will be announced via e-mail to members and on our website.

The Latest:

Christmas Angels Gifts

Thanks to all who adopted a child or two for Christmas from among our Helping Hands families. Your clothing gifts were distributed at our December 18 food pickup with many heartfelt comments of gratitude from the parents. Blessings to you all!

Thanks to the local SNL group for their generosity to HCHH!

We cannot thank Betty M. and the Some Neat Ladies group enough for reaching out to support  the Outreach Committee's Helping Hands project by supplying selected small kitchen appliances to each of our 10 families. The basic goal of this project is to provide fresh food, recipes and resources for these families to be able to grow and cook more of their own food in these difficult times. These items will help tremendously.

Thanks to Deborah and Stephen, Sue W., Dale, David M. and David O., Katherine, Atley W. and John who joined the Outreach Committee in another successful Helping Hands food distribution on December 17 &18.  See below if you'd like to help us in January.

Volunteers Needed for Helping Hands food program on January 14 or 15.

What better way to celebrate the new year than by giving an hour or two of your time to the Outreach Commintee's Helping Hands food distribution project!  See details here.

Our meal chain system assists members with meals in time of need.  See the News section.

Do you have need of a pastor?  The Pastoral Care Ministry Team provides for the pastoral needs of not only members of Hedges Chapel but the surrounding community as well.  One of the Chapel's pastors will always be on call.  More information here.

If you would like to receive occasional email notifications of our activities and events, please send an email to:  hedgeschapelcouncil@gmail.com to be placed on our non-member distribution list. Typical messages are for events important to the Woods community and for disaster relief efforts. We promise not to overload your in-box.

Since our site is getting filled with lots of good information, there is a site search function so details are easier to find.  It's located at the top of each page.  Like any search engine, it's not perfect but it will get you started.
